		TALAVOU Program	FUNCTIONS:
		CYP Diploma Program
			Coordinate and implement the TALAVOU Program and ensure that the

			Develop, facilitate & coordinate programs to improve the self worth of young
			00people and build their physical and psychological capacity
			00- Coordinate National Peer Education programs
			00- Coordinate the Samoa National Youth Week
			00- Coordinate the commemoration of the international Youth Day

			Foster flexible and inclusive learning environment conducive to school
			0 retention, skills formation and career choice for young people
			000- Conduct ongoing skills development programmes for young people
			000- Strengthen Second Chance Education Initiatives

			Develop, facilitate & coordinate environment conducive to school retention,
			00000skills formation and career choice for young people
			00- Promote the establishment of youth-led sustainable Community-based
			00 development programmes for young people
			00- Strengthen opportunities to raise awareness about career opportunities
			0000 including the Career Day

			Strengthen capacity of young people, youth leaders and staff to manage,
			00 implement, monitor and evaluate all youth-related activities
			00 - Facilitate the active participation of young people in traditional social
			00 structures
			00 - Promote active participation of young people in national, regional and
			000 international youth development programs and meetings
			00 - Represent the youth of Samoa in National Policy Planning Committees

			Policy Development
			00- Identify policy and programme issues pertaining to development of young

			00- Provide professional and quality advice to the Minister and relevant
			00 Government Ministries on policies and plans to address issues relating to
			00 youth development
