	Towards A Legacy of Achievement, Versatility and Opportunity through Unity

		The TALAVOU Programme supports the implementation of the Samoa National
		Development Strategy (2005 - 2007) specifically regarding developments in the
		youth sector (section iv page 17)

	Focus Area One:	This programme was developed by the Government of Samoa and the UN system
	To review and develop the new Samoa National	based on the Samoa National Youth Policy and SDS 2008 - 2012. It supports the
	Youth Policy framework 2011	implementation of selected activities to address key priorities identified in the
		Samoa National Youth Policy and Strategic Plan.
	Focus Area Two:
	To increase employment and income generation	Activities Involved:
	opportunities for urban and rural young people in	* Development of the new National Youth Policy
	formal and informal sectors	* National Peer Education Programme Training Needs Analysis
		* Rehabilitation Programme
	Focus Area Three:	* Youth Tele-centers (2)
	To strengthen the capacity of the DFY in	* Development process of the Centralised Youth Database
	collaboration with Stakeholders in managing the
	implementation of the Samoa National Youth Policy
	through the TALAVOU Programme.
