This Policy seeks and place deeper emphasis that relates to the empowerment of women to participate in, lead and to benefit from sustainable community development. Despite the fact that much progress has been made to women's development over the years, existing evidence and documentation show their continuous marginalization in certain areas of development. Therefore, the implementation of the Policy for Women seeks to address issues impacting women and girls' quality of life and their empowerment in national and community life.
