This Policy realizes the commitment of Government of Samoa as it shows full recognition towards people with disabilities ought to be empowered, their rights recognized and profoundly reflected and executed in both the social and economic life in Samoa. It is also the intention of this Policy to recognize the family as the first level of support for people with disabilities and that families should be supported and informed about disabilities and their involvement in advocacy support.
