This Policy presents a centralized framework that provides the direction for the care, protection and development of children from birth to 18 years of age. The Policy document shall also direct the work of all Government stakeholders and its partners on child development and child protection. Although much progress and success through children development, there is now increasing evidence that show the increased vulnerability of children in certain areas. Nonetheless, provision of programs and services targeted at children development and child protection is the key to improving the quality and prosperity of Samoan society now and in the future.
