		An initiative by the Ministry to applaud and acknowledge the contributionof women of Samoa as leaders, decision makers and politicians was resulted in the Directory of Women Parliamentarians in its first ever issue published in 2001 followed by its updated version in 2009. The objectives of the
		Directory are to pay tribute to the achievements of Samoan Women by
		highlighting their skills, competencies and professional expertise and to
		provide a documentation of women's profiles that can be utilized in the
		appointment of women to Statutory Boards and Committees. The Ministry
		of Women Community and Social Development aims to continue this
		undertaking as it will assist not only in documenting the great achievements
		of Women in the history of Samoa but also to boost the participation of
		women in the Political arena.

		A copy of the Directory for Women Parliamentarians can be purchased from
		the Division for Research, Policy/Planning and Information Processing for $25.00 each.
